Contact :Librarian    562-570-3136
On Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM, the El Dorado Neighborhood Library will host an LA Opera Community Educator, who will present a multi-media program about the opera Norma.

A clandestine love affair brings two mortal enemies together during a time of war. But when Norma discovers that her beloved now loves another, a fiery new battle begins as betrayal, anguish and fury take the reins.

This presentation is free. Light refreshments will be served and a free opera-related gift will be given out at the end of the presentation. The talk is for all ages, but some operas have adult themes.

This program is part of the LA Opera Lecture Series, presented by LA Opera’s Community Educators, a team of trained volunteer experts. The LA Opera Lecture Series presents insightful talks on opera’s history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts.

El Dorado Neighborhood Library is located at 2900 Studebaker Road, Long Beach. For more information on this program or other El Dorado Library services, please call 562-570-3136. For information on other Long Beach Public Library services programs, call 562-570-7500 or visit
