Service Learning Programs
The Long Beach Public Library supports the Long Beach Unified School District's (LBUSD) Service Learning Program by offering volunteer opportunities specifically suited to the high school student which may be used as service credit. Prospective volunteers will be invited to an interview with their site supervisor. Before starting a position with the Long Beach Public Library, all students must complete and submit the following forms to their site supervisor. It is advisable for the student to bring the completed forms to the interview with their site supervisor. The forms are downloadable PDF files (see bottom on page) that may be printed out and completed by the student. The Library's need for volunteers changes throughout the year.
