Use your card, check out, and return materials at any Long Beach Public Library. Check out up to 25 items (5 DVDs max) and up to 3 items on a specific subject. First time borrowers may check out 2 items.

Renew items online, in the LBPL Mobile app, by calling (562) 570-7500 (#2), or in person. Items may be renewed twice unless there is a hold on the item. DVDs and CDs may be renewed in person or by calling (562) 570-7500 (#3) during open hours.

Extended Use Fees
Items placed on hold & NOT picked up	$1.00 per item
Adult Materials	$.35 per item, per day
Children's & Teen Materials	$.15 per item, per day
DVDs	$1.00/day regular, $2.00/day new release
Extended use fees are based on the type of material and are charged 7 days a week. The Library refers unpaid accounts to a collection agency, charging the patron the cost of doing so.
