At-Risk Youth Advocate, Father Greg, to Speak at the Main Library
tattoos on the heart book coverFather Gregory Boyle, founder and executive director of Homeboy Industries, will present Tattoos on the Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion as part of the Friends of the Long Beach Public Library Blanche Collins Forum on Saturday, December 10th, at 2:00 p.m. The doors of the Main Library Auditorium will open at 1:30 p.m. This event is FREE and open to the public

As a nationally renowned expert on gangs and intervention approaches, Father Greg is a widely honored speaker. Tattoos on the Heart was awarded the 2010 Southern California Independent Booksellers Association Non-Fiction Award and also named one of the Best Books of 2010 by Publishers Weekly. Father Greg also recently received the 2011 PEN Center USA Creative Non-fiction Award.
