Hispanic Heritage Short Film Event
Join us to watch and discuss two award-winning short films. The first film, The Purepécha: Poorest of the Poor, documents Long Beach fifth-grader Stephanie Maldonado's summer spent exploring the culture and living conditions of the Purépecha Indians in the Coachella Valley.

The second film, Tanto Tiempo: So Much Time, a winner of the Hispanic Film Project, is a narrative of a young Latina who learns what it means to be both Mexican and American.

Both short films were produced and directed by
Cheryl Quintana Leader.

Join us for this free screening followed by a panel discussion with individuals associated with the films.
