Hispanic Heritage Short Film Event Join us to watch and discuss two award-winning short films. The first film, The Purepécha: Poorest of the Poor, documents Long Beach fifth-grader Stephanie Maldonado's summer spent exploring the culture and living conditions of the Purépecha Indians in the Coachella Valley.
The second film, Tanto Tiempo: So Much Time,a winner of the Hispanic Film Project,is a narrative of a young Latina who learns what it means to be both Mexican and American.
