Journalist David C. Henley at Main Library Author David C. Henley will speak in the Main Library auditorium about his fascinating book, "From Moscow to Beirut: the Adventures of a Foreign Correspondent," on Saturday February 23 at 2:00PM. This memoir chronicles the progression of Mr. Henley's career as a journalist and foreign correspondent.
In his book, Henley reminiscences about his days covering the White House and Capitol Hill, the presidencies of Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan and Clinton, his firing as Nixon's assistant press secretary and his assignments reporting on Southern California murders and mayhem, mobsters Bugsy Siegel and Mickey Cohen, and his personal involvement with the flamboyant Howard Hughes.
