As part of the Blanche Collins Forum, Ray Bradbury will make a special appearance at the Main Library this Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. Bradbury will speak about the future of libraries and the importance of books.
Bradbury, the author of more than 500 published works, was awarded the National Book Foundation's Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters in 2000, and the National Medal of Arts in 2004.
Bradbury will speak in the Main Library Auditorium. This event is open to the public without charge.
